Dr. Ronald Bush is a board-certified vascular surgeon who is highly skilled at performing venous procedures. He is also board-certified in general surgery, thoracic surgery and laser surgery, giving him a level of expertise not often found in a community setting. His knowledge and skill as a surgeon qualify him as a fellow in the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Bush trained in general surgery at Indiana University and completed a fellowship in vascular surgery at Baylor University, followed by a cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.
Since 1999, Dr. Bush has devoted his practice to the treatment of venous disease. He has performed more than 6,000 venous surgeries in an office setting and has performed thousands of endoluminal laser ablation surgeries (ELAS) with no complications and a 98% success rate.
His expertise has drawn the attention of physicians from around the world who come to him for training and education. Many of the new techniques for ambulatory treatment of varicose veins originated in part from his clinical studies, and he holds the patents for some surgical instruments. In addition, Dr. Bush is the author of numerous scientific papers.
