Hand Veins

As we age, hand veins can lose elasticity, darkening the color of the back of the hands. Bulging hand veins can make you feel and look older than you are. While enlarged hand veins typically are not a major health issue, they can be unattractive, and can be caused by a more serious vascular disease that requires medical attention.

Without treatment, enlarged veins can get worse over time. The sooner vein issues are treated, the more effective the outcome. If you have vein questions, don’t wait any longer to seek treatment. Call 800-836-1170 today and schedule a consultation to have your issues evaluated.

Tiny veins on a woman's face

Face & Lip Veins

Face veins: Spider veins, broken blood vessels, broken capillaries and rosacea veins are unsightly and can appear as tiny red threads on the nose and cheek or as large bluish veins around the temple, eye or mouth. Facial vein issues are generally a cosmetic issue, but they can get worse over time.

Lip veins: Patients also come to us to treat small, bluish lesions on the lip called venous lake tumors, which are often the result of trauma or constant irritation. Some medical practitioners recommend surgical excision, which is not needed. At AQUA Vein Center, we use a laser or ohmic thermolysis. There’s no scarring, and the lip heals quickly.

AQUA Vein Center accepts most insurance plans.

Most insurance plans do not require a referral for vein services, however some plans may require a referral from your primary care physician. If you are unsure, call your insurance company to confirm.

Yes, you can fill out your forms before your appointment by using the Patient Portal.

You can also fill them out in the office on the day of your appointment, but please arrive 15-20 minutes early to do so.

We ask patients to provide at least 24 hour’s notice to cancel so the appointment window can be made available to others.

Our vein specialists will review your medical history and conduct a thorough vein consultation. Once a diagnosis is made, we’ll talk about your treatment options.

That depends on your insurance plan, which determines deductibles, copays and networks, among other things. If you have questions or concerns, discuss them with your insurance company. Plan to pay your copay or any payment required by your insurance at the time of your visit.
